Philippe Desbrosses, Farmer, Doctor in Environment Sciences (University of Paris VII) and writer. Philippe Desbrosses is one of the pionneers of Organic Farming in Europe. He helped create most of the movements to officialise Organic Farming. Expert consultant for the Minister of Agriculture and for the European Parliament, he took part in the “Grenelle de l’Environnement”. In his Sologne family farm in Sainte-Marthe (which is well known for preserving yesteryear seeds) he created a pilot centre for Organic Farming training, as well as an Association named Intelligence Verte whose purpose is to encourage the ethical cyclic of the land and its resources for the renewed benefit of and in solidarity with present and future generations. He has been organising the “Entretiens de Millancay” for the last 17 years around topics such as health, food and sustainable development.

Born in Roanne (France) in 1974, Jérôme DOUZELET is one of the youngest Chefs in France from the new generation concerned to avoid GMOs and pesticides, owning a beautiful hotel and restaurant in a magic and quiet place of the southern France.

He cooks essentially natural, fresh, organic and esthetic meals of high quality. More than thirty vegetables, fruits and spices may be served per meal ! He also organizes seminars on environmental matters in LE MAS DE RIVET (in this website and www.lemasderivet.com), a family hotel and restaurant near the Pont du Gard, in the mythical village of Barjac appearing in several movies.

The quality of his products is highly controlled as well as their origin, and thus his involvement in avoiding not only GMOs and pesticides but also industrial procedures made him a member of the CRIIGEN administrative council, an association recognized for expertises in these domains.

Before he has been educator for handicapped people and young offenders, sportsman and rugbyman.

Jean-Marie Pelt, a Pharmacy Professor, is a well known botanist and ecologist. He used to teach Vegetal Biology and Cryptogamy at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Nancy until 1972, when he decided to found the European Institute of Ecology in Metz where he taught Botany and Vegetal Physiology at the Faculty of Sciences at the University. A long series of assignments abroad in Afghanistan, Togo, Dahomey, Ivory Coast, Morocco, lead him to be interested in traditional pharmacopeias. Nowadays he is considered an authority on general issues regarding the Environment and ecology (nutritious qualities, GMO’s, forests, global warming, etc.)
